On Saturday, June 22 beginning at 4:00 PM and ending at 8:00 AM Sunday morning, CCS is planning on performing maintenance on the campus telephone system. During this time vendor recommended updates will be applied. These updates are required in order to prevent the telephone system from becoming unavailable during additional upcoming maintenance activities. During this maintenance window, all telephone services will be unavailable for a period of approximately 30 minutes with an additional 60 minutes of reduced functionality once telephone service is restored. During this time of reduced functionality, features like hold and transfer will be unavailable. It is expected that the aforementioned 30 minute service impact will occur between Saturday 11:30PM and Sunday 3:30 AM, however, the exact times will vary.
In support of the above maintenance activity, CCS will also be performing maintenance on Friday, June 21 (8:30 PM to 11:59 PM) and Sunday, June 23 (8:00 PM to 11:59 PM). During this time, telephone servers will be prepared and restarted. During the restart portion of the maintenance window, telephones will quickly re-register to the next available server. On-campus calls in progress will not be affected, however, off-campus calls will be terminated as off-campus telephone lines complete the re-registration process. Care will be taken to complete the restarts at a time when minimal off-campus calls are in progress.
