Scheduled
On Tuesday, July 30, from 6:00am to 8:00am, CCS will be performing an annual renewal of the SSL certificate for the wireless authentication servers. Some Windows and Apple IOS/MAC OSX users may see a certificate warning and need to accept the new certificate when connecting to uog-wifi-secure and eduroam after the maintenance. Any Windows or Apple devices that were configured using the JoinNow (for uog-wifi-secure) and eduroam CAT/geteduroam (for eduroam) tools will connect seamlessly without certificate warnings. No service interruption is expected during this maintenance window.

To ensure smooth connectivity after this maintenance, we recommend users configure their devices using JoinNow or geteduroam prior to the maintenance. You can configure your devices using those tools from off campus as well, in which case the devices will not be able to connect to uog-wifi-secure or eduroam at the last step, but they will be able to connect seamlessly once users are back to campus.

**Note: eduroam is intended for visiting students/staff/faculty to use and not to be used by UoG members. We recommend you use uog-wifi-secure on campus when connecting to campus wireless network. Please remove eduroam network from your device if you use WiFi on campus to avoid devices accidentally connecting to eduroam.

Connect to uog-wifi-secure using JoinNow: https://ithelp.uoguelph.ca/secure-wireless.

Connect to eduroam using eduroam CAT: https://ithelp.uoguelph.ca/connecteduroam.

The certificate information can be found here: https://uoguelphca.sharepoint.com/sites/ccs/SitePages/internet-phones/wireless-internet/wireless-requirements.aspx#wpa_parameters.
