Status update:
Microsoft is reporting that service has been restored. We are seeing that emails from outsides sources are starting to be delivered. There is a significant backlog of email to process and by the nature of how mail systems attempt deliveries it still may be a few hours before all mail is delivered and normal service fully restored. Thank you for your patience.
All backlogged mail will get delivered. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Original Message:
Microsoft is reporting an issue with M365 Email. We have observed that email from external sources has not been delivered since approximately 13:15 this afternoon. There may be other issues that have not been reported.
Please be aware that this includes ALL email not originating from our M365 environment. (Listserv, Maestro, on-campus servers, cloud-based university services, GMail and all other mail platforms, etc.).
Our expectation is that all mail will be queued and delivered when the issue is resolved.
As of 4:30 PM EST, Microsoft believes they have identified the root cause and are starting to apply a solution. They have not provided and expected time for everything to be resolved.
