Gigamon SPAN (Switch Port Analyzer) and TAP (Test Access Point) are network monitoring solutions provided by Gigamon. The current software on the appliances is a couple of versions behind the recommended version and end-of-life.

We will do the required software upgrades from 8 p.m. on July 23rd, 2024, to 2 a.m. on July 24th, 2024.

This procedure should take approximately 4 hours, plus 2 hours, if we need to exercise a backout plan and time to validate traffic.

We do not expect any campus network service interruption during the maintenance.
