Scheduled
On Tuesday, June 19th, from 6 to 8 am, CCS will be performing maintenance on migrating the campus VPN service to the next generation platform. A brief service interruption is expected during this window.

Impact to VPN Users after the maintenance:

1. In the AnyConnect Security Mobility client, users will now see two options and will need to choose one of them depending on whether they are accessing VPN from on or off campus.

2. Users will now use their Central ID to log in, eliminating the need for “cfs\userid” format, while retaining the same privileges as before.

3. Cisco AnyConnect Security Mobility client will now be the only VPN client supported by the new VPN service. It is available for Windows, Mac, Red Hat Linux and Ubuntu. For details, please refer to the CCS Remote Secure Access VPN web page.

If you have any questions or concerns, please contact the CCS Help Centre at x58888 or 58888help@uoguelph.ca.
