We are aware of issues with access to the University main website, email, and other WAM/SSO protected services. These services may be slower than normal to load or fail to load entirely.
At this time we have started the process to rollback the changes.
Another update on the status of the rollback will be posted in an hour (10:30am).

Update
The upgrade has impacted WAM/SSO protected services and they are responding slowly or not at all. We are continuing to work on the issue and will roll back the upgrades if unsuccessful.

A Tier 1 Maintenance of the Web Access Management/Single Sign On (WAM/SSO) service will take place on Saturday June 2nd between 12 AM and 12 PM. The follow-up T1 maintenance is tentatively scheduled for Saturday June 9th.

Selected WAM/SSO-protected services, e.g., Gryph Mail and CourseLink, will be unavailable for a few seconds while some other services, e.g., departmental webservers, will be unavailable throughout the maintenance.

Details:

During these maintenances we will upgrade the Web Access Management/Single Sign On service.

We expect almost no noticeable impact on the following SSO-protected services except for possible double login for some users and several seconds up to a minute downtime depending on the service close to the beginning and end of the maintenance window:
- CourseLink and Gryph Mail Office 365
- Federated Web SSO and the dependent services, e.g., Gryph Mail/GSuite, OpenEd/DestinyOne, GryphForms, GryphonsTickets, Pension Portal, Software Distribution, GryphLife, Gartner, Lynda, Qualtrics, Tableau, TeamDynamix, Kountu, various Library services; Off-Campus Access, Course Reserve, Primo, ProQuest, Webex, ExperienceGuelph.
- SSO protected websites behind www.uoguelph.ca, intranet.uoguelph.ca, www.housing.uoguelph.ca, and news.uoguelph.ca
as these will be temporarily transitioned to our backup OAM/SSO cluster.

Other WAM/SSO protected services including, for example, FRS, ECS, web tier for ImageNow, OpenEd Grade portal, Hospitality applications, WAM/SSO protected departmental webservers will be unavailable from about midnight until the noon on Saturday.
