Scheduled
On Thursday, February 15th, between 6AM and 8AM, CCS will upgrade the firmware on some telephone sets in preparation for the phone system upgrade. The Cisco IP phone 7942/62 and 7911 series will be upgraded. These phones are primarily deployed at Ridgetown (7942/62) and at the Guelph Residences (7911). At the Guelph campus the vast majority of phones are 7940/60 for which no firmware upgrade is required, as such there should only be minor impact to business operations. During the upgrade process, the affected phones will restart, download and install the software and restart again. During this time, network connectivity will be lost, and the phones will be unavailable for approximately 5-10 minutes. We suggest you close all applications and shutdown your computers if they connect to phones before the upgrade. Calls in progress will not be interrupted during this process and the upgrade will begin when the call has ended. After the upgrade, some phone settings will be reset, including the missed, received and placed calls logs.
